Family and friends,
For the last few years I have been working on a genealogy of the descendants of Benjamin and Susannah Monroe Grayson of British Colonial Virginia, researching and writing what I hope are interesting stories from the disparate branches. The goal is to eventually publish a Grayson Family History in book form.
I have posted these and other stories here since May 2017. To simplify my life I plan to retire this site in the spring of 2026. In anticipation, I have uploaded my nearly 250 blogs to the Substack platform. God willing, I will solely post there for the foreseeable future, and will link to any new posts on this site until May.

One of the unexpected benefits of my research has been the desire to see and walk where our long-ago relatives walked. Nathan Grayson has inspired me to visit remote southwest New Mexico. I hope you find his story inspiring too.
