Our mother Ann was the family genealogist. When she passed away ten years ago I inherited her papers and, slowly, her interest in family history. It has since become a passion. I began this blog in 2017 as a place to record and to share discoveries with extended family and interested friends. I plan to continue researching and writing for as long as I can, but I have decided to retire this website in the spring. Stay tuned for what’s next.
In the meantime I thought I’d share some of the most viewed posts, and perhaps a few lesser-viewed personal favorites. This one was written in July 2020, after a 2019 family history research trip to coastal South Carolina.
